To do this, select Save from the File menu for your new Pages document, and when you select the location to save in, check the option to save a copy as a Word document. However, if you use one of the other formats more often, you can assign your hot-key combination to one of them instead of Word, and that format will become the one selected as default in the export dialog box.Ī final way to export a Pages document to Word is to have the program create a copy of the document as a Word document when you save. Since this export option brings up a dialog box with options for the other supported formats as well, you do not need to necessarily create custom hot keys for them. The Pages save dialog box contains options for exporting to Word. Next assign a hot-key combination of your choosing, making sure that it does not conflict with any other Pages hot-key commands. Pages vs word for mac 2015 mac os#The Mac OS already has a good word processor called Pages. Is there a better alternative While Microsoft Word is a good choice for Mac, you might want to consider a few alternatives. Microsoft Word for Mac is compatible with Mac OS 10.12 and above. Choose Pages from the drop-down menu (or choose Other and manually add it to the menu if it's missing) followed by typing "Word." as the command (the three dots are separate periods and not an ellipsis). Both options will require you to purchase an Office 365 subscription. To do this, go to the Keyboard system preferences and in the Keyboard Shortcuts section select "Application Shortcuts," then click the plus sign to add a new shortcut. ![]() While this is simple enough, if you find yourself exporting to Word frequently then you may want to set up a custom hot-key combination to activate this feature.

It has a 32-bit data path, and instructions, along with other audio- and video-processing features. This is a completely different architecture unrelated to the 8-bit AVR, intended to compete with the -based processors. Main article: In 2006, Atmel released microcontrollers based on the 32-bit architecture. Device overview The AVR is a machine, where program and data are stored in separate physical memory systems that appear in different address spaces, but having the ability to read data items from program memory using special instructions.īasic families AVRs are generally classified into following: The platform for simple electronics projects was released in 2005 and featured ATmega8 AVR microcontrollers. By 2003, Atmel had shipped 500 million AVR flash microcontrollers. The AVR 8-bit microcontroller architecture was introduced in 1997. The polarity of the RESET line was opposite (8051's having an active-high RESET, while the AVR has an active-low RESET), but other than that the pinout was identical. Note that the use of 'AVR' in this article generally refers to the 8-bit RISC line of Atmel AVR Microcontrollers.Īmong the first of the AVR line was the AT90S8515, which in a 40-pin DIP package has the same pinout as an microcontroller, including the external multiplexed address and data bus. However, it is commonly accepted that AVR stands for Alf and Vegard's RISC processor. The creators of the AVR give no definitive answer as to what the term 'AVR' stands for. Atmel says that the name AVR is not an acronym and does not stand for anything in particular. The designers worked closely with compiler writers at to ensure that the AVR instruction set provided efficient of. When the technology was sold to Atmel from Nordic, the internal architecture was further developed by Bogen and Wollan at Atmel Norway, a subsidiary of Atmel. It was known as a μRISC (Micro RISC) and was available as silicon IP/building block from Nordic VLSI. ![]() ![]() The original AVR MCU was developed at a local house in, called Nordic VLSI at the time, now, where Bogen and Wollan were working as students.
![]() ![]() We'll deal with your eating of Ace Attorney's creator later. Katharine: Err… HOLD IT! We're getting off topic. I knew it was a mistake to eat Shu Takumi. Side note: crikey, I was a skinny boy back then. Video Matthew: He seemed quite bemused to be hijacked while perusing a manga stand. Katharine: You're lucky he didn't arrest you! Video Matthew: But not so mysterious that I wasn’t able to stalk him around Comic-Con in 2010 and get a photo with him. Creator and writer Shu Takumi is a master of mystery. Of course, you’d be mad to haphazardly skip through, because the writing is brilliant. As the cases get knottier you do find yourself picking over conversations for missed clues, so this is appreciated. ![]() You can tap to skip to the end of a line or hold a button to fast forward through longer chunks. Video Matthew: One of the benefits of this port is a few more options to speed up the text. ![]() For the most part, though, I like the build-up they give you to the main courtroom cases, and by the time they're over, you're itching to exercise those vocal chords and point some fingers. These sections get a bit convoluted once cases grow in size and complexity - in the third game, Trials And Tribulations, you're given an entire temple to explore at one point - and it sometimes feels like you're going round in circles trying to find the next MacGuffin to move the story along. There's a lot of tapping and clicking on dialogue boxes, and going backwards and forwards between different locations as you gather evidence and speak to witnesses. It adds a bit of spice, but doesn’t mask the fact that investigations are the verrrrry sloooooow lead-up to the main event. The second part of the trilogy, Justice For All, gives Wright a mystic doodad that reveals psychological blockages in other characters, meaning you have to present evidence or ask the right question to move these exploratory conversations forward. It’s exposition central: mooching around crime scenes, meeting all the players for the upcoming case and doing little in the way of shouting. Video Matthew: Despite being one of my all-time favourite series, I’ve never really been into the investigation portion. You get the thrill of being a detective and a cool lawyer defending the innocent from incompetent and corrupt prosecutors. But that's part of the joy of Ace Attorney - getting up in Detective Gumshoe's grill and seeking out key bits of evidence he missed or overlooked. There's no 'collecting evidence at the scene of the crime' in real life - that's left to the police and the people you're working with. Katharine: If real life lawyering was as fun as Ace Attorney lawyering, I'd still be desperately trying to be a lawyer. Katharine, you trained as a lawyer, how accurate is Ace Attorney’s depiction of the craft? The game is mostly about courtroom battles and finding contradictions in witness testimony, which you signal with a great big bellow of “OBJECTION!” On DS you could shout it into the mic (if you were a maniac), but it’s a much more reserved key-tap on PC. Video Matthew: Yes, for those who’ve somehow managed to miss the Ace Attorney series, this is Capcom’s lawyer-em-up which first appeared in the west on the DS in 2006. Katharine: Err… Sorry, I forgot I don't need to shout into my Nintendo DS's microphone any more. We both played them to death (never convicted) on DS, and have been revisiting them on PC. I have gathered us - by which I mean, you, Katharine - to discuss Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy, an HD collection of the first three Ace Attorney games. There is a very good chance this RPS chat-o-verdict will end with some horrible ‘any objections?’ type thing. I think we’re legally obliged to cram in naff legal references when writing about the Ace Attorney series. ![]() 10/23/2022 0 Comments Windows emulator for mac ppc![]() Sheepshaver does numerous ROM patches to avoid having to emulate the MMU (or most of the registers involved) at any cost. The PowerPC CPU is rather complex, probably not as bad as a x86 CPU emulator, but definitely not trivial either. I do realize a good chunk of Mac users aren't coders, but that doesn't mean coders won't have a huge number of obstacles too. Popularity aside, there's plenty of technical difficulties regarding Mac emulation. #WINDOWS EMULATOR FOR MAC PPC MAC OS#Since QEMU has is pulling way ahead of Sheepshaver and PearPC in terms of hardware accuracy (it can emulate PPC Mac OS 9.1-10.4), I figured I would have a go at describing the issues of writing a PPC Mac emulator, including by comparing it to the other PPC emulators that are known to be able to run PowerPC Mac OS Classic or X. #WINDOWS EMULATOR FOR MAC PPC ANDROID#Join us at /r/EmuDev Android Emulator accuracy tests:Īre you an emulator developer?
